We live in a world that has become increasingly complex and messy but having each other together always invoke this swell of heartwarming feeling. It gives this tinge of hope that we can make it there too, despite all the messiness. I can’t imagine what a lifetime with a person 24/7 actually looks like. No one I know lasted more than 5 years. Those who do are usually from my parents’ generation. Even then, they don’t seem blissful. But I think that’s the beauty of it, that you stick together no matter what. It was a vow made and they stuck to it, managing things that life throws at them. Trials and tribulations are part of marriage but the willingness to stick around is beautiful, emerging a stronger couple that they become a unit.
